Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational
objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers for raw materials,
components, electricals, fabrication items, and services.
- Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement
without compromising quality and timelines.
- Lead contract negotiations and annual rate contracts with key suppliers.
Operational Sourcing
- Manage the end-to-end sourcing process including RFQs, comparative analysis,
negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery tracking.
- Coordinate closely with R&D, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely
availability of parts for new and existing products.
- Ensure procurement of materials as per BOM and project requirements within
defined lead times.
2. Cost Optimization & Compliance
- Drive cost-saving initiatives through alternate sourcing, supplier consolidation, and volume leveraging.
- Monitor market trends, price movements, and raw material index to plan strategic buying.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, documentation, and audit compliance.
3. Team & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a small procurement team (if applicable).
- Collaborate closely with Stores, Finance, QA/QC, and Project Management teams
for smooth operations.

suppliers, fostering competition, and improving vendor capabilities to support cost, quality, and delivery expectations.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strategic sourcing & negotiation
- Vendor development (including in Tier-II/III cities)
- Familiarity with engineering components, sheet metal, electricals, and fabrication
- Knowledge of ERP (Tally/Zoho/SAP or similar)
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
