Manager/Senior Manager - Procurement & Sourcing

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational

objectives.

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers for raw materials,

components, electricals, fabrication items, and services.

• Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement

without compromising quality and timelines.

• Lead contract negotiations and annual rate contracts with key suppliers.

Operational Sourcing

• Manage the end-to-end sourcing process including RFQs, comparative analysis,

negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery tracking.

• Coordinate closely with R&D, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely

availability of parts for new and existing products.

• Ensure procurement of materials as per BOM and project requirements within

defined lead times.

2. Cost Optimization & Compliance

• Drive cost-saving initiatives through alternate sourcing, supplier consolidation, and volume leveraging.
• Monitor market trends, price movements, and raw material index to plan strategic buying.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, documentation, and audit compliance.

3. Team & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a small procurement team (if applicable).
• Collaborate closely with Stores, Finance, QA/QC, and Project Management teams

for smooth operations.

• Drive continuous vendor development initiatives by identifying alternate

suppliers, fostering competition, and improving vendor capabilities to support cost, quality, and delivery expectations.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strategic sourcing & negotiation
• Vendor development (including in Tier-II/III cities)
• Familiarity with engineering components, sheet metal, electricals, and fabrication
• Knowledge of ERP (Tally/Zoho/SAP or similar)
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills
