Sales Representative

Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive Sales Representative to handle inbound leads from platforms like IndiaMART, website inquiries, and other online sources. The role involves engaging with potential customers, understanding their requirements, and converting inquiries into sales for our food processing machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and respond to leads generated from IndiaMART, website forms, WhatsApp, and other online channels
• Contact potential customers via phone, email, and messaging platforms
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable food processing machines
• Prepare and share quotations, product details, and technical specifications
• Follow up regularly with prospects to close sales
• Maintain lead data and update CRM or tracking sheets
• Coordinate with production and technical teams for order processing
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Build long-term relationships with clients for repeat business

Required Skills

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Basic technical understanding (machinery or manufacturing preferred)
• Experience handling B2B leads and online inquiries
• Ability to convert warm leads into customers
• Familiarity with MS Excel, CRM tools, and email communication
• Fluent in English and regional languages (Tamil/Hindi preferred)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (any field; engineering/diploma is a plus)
• 1–3 years of experience in sales (preferably machinery, industrial, or B2B platforms like IndiaMART)

• Lead response time
• Conversion rate (enquiry to order)
• Monthly sales revenue
• Follow-up effectiveness
• Customer satisfaction

Preferred Experience

• Experience in food processing equipment sales
• Knowledge of machines like grinders, mixers, packaging machines, etc.
• Experience handling bulk or export inquiries
