Unit Sales Representative - Mining Equipment

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Unit Sales Representative specializing in mining equipment to drive growth, build lasting customer relationships, and deliver exceptional service. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with strong industry knowledge and a passion for customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop in-depth knowledge of mining equipment
- Deliver "Silver Service" by providing exceptional customer support and responsiveness
- Build and maintain strong relationships within an assigned customer base
- Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to drive revenue growth
- Identify new business opportunities through prospecting and cold calling
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and quotations
- Maintain and expand customer database, including accurate and up-to-date records
- Track and manage equipment ownership within assigned accounts
- Provide customers with financial guidance and solutions to support purchasing decisions
- Ensure timely invoicing and payment collection
- Monitor and control sales-related expenses
- Submit regular reports summarizing account activity and performance
Additional Responsibilities
- Support the Sales Manager with projects and initiatives
- Perform basic administrative tasks, including data entry
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of mining equipment
- Proven track record in sales, account management, or business development
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities independently
- Proficient with CRM systems and basic computer applications
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, including on uneven terrain
- Frequent movement in and around heavy equipment
- Ability to climb in and out of machinery
- Regular communication via phone, radio, and in-person interactions
- Occasional bending, reaching, and lifting related to office and field duties
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education
