Position: Roving Field Service Technician

Location: Mobile role. Primary reporting location is Mississauga, with frequent travel to other sites as needed.

Job type: Fulltime. Annual Salary Range: $65,000-75,000

The impact you will have

As a Service Technician, you will apply your technical knowledge to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Arjo equipment and products for the Arjo customer on‑site within the care facility. You will support customers by securing the best possible condition for mobility products and solutions. Your skills will help empower movement for people facing mobility challenges and increase the quality of lives for residents, patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

  • Based out of the GTA, provide in‑person technical coverage for vacant or temporarily unstaffed territories across Canada, ensuring continuity of service and support.
  • Schedule and provide preventative maintenance and repair services at healthcare facilities.
  • Effectively promote and sell Arjo service agreements and products.
  • Supervise equipment installation and/or perform uncrating and assembly services.
  • Instruct customer personnel in the operation and proper use of the equipment.
  • Assist sales personnel in marketing all Arjo equipment (joint calls, in‑services, sales leads).
  • Maintain an organized parts inventory in a clean company vehicle.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills Required

  • Postsecondary education in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Field‑based electromechanical repair and maintenance experience.
  • Face‑to‑face technical customer service experience.
  • Sales and/or promotion of service products experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to recommend/promote/sell products and services based on observed client needs.
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and technical repair skills.
  • Ability to travel to multiple customer sites on a regular basis, including overnight stays when needed.
