Data Scientist Contract

As a Data Scientist at our company, you will have the opportunity to leverage your 3+ years of hands-on experience in building data-driven solutions and your solid foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, develop predictive models, and translate complex data insights into actionable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and deploy machine learning and statistical models to address business challenges
• Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and data preprocessing on both structured and unstructured datasets
• Write clean, modular, and scalable code following Object-Oriented Programming principles
• Work with engineering, product, and business teams to define data requirements and success metrics
• Create and manage data pipelines and model workflows
• Evaluate model performance, striving for continuous improvement in accuracy and efficiency
• Communicate insights, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and concisely
• Document models, code, and processes for knowledge sharing and reproducibility

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience in Data Science or related roles
• Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) using Python / Java / C++ (Python preferred)
• Hands-on experience with machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data analysis
• Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.)
• Experience with SQL and handling large datasets
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, version control (Git), and code reviews

Good to Have:

• Experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience deploying models using APIs or MLOps tools
• Knowledge of big data tools (Spark, Hadoop)
• Experience in agile or fast-paced environments

Education
