ARI-HETRA has an immediate need for a mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to perform field maintenance and service for our customers. The candidate will work remotely covering North & South Carolina that allows for frequent overnight travel. This is a hourly position that pays for approved over-time.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform field service repairs at customer locations
  • Build positive relationships with customers by providing professional and courteous service
  • Evaluate and diagnose equipment problems and determine solutions
  • Document work and produce timely and detailed service reports
  • Operate a vehicle in a safe manner
  • Maintain service vehicle parts inventory
  • Utilize field service software programs
  • Provide training to customers regarding safe product usage and maintenance
  • Comply with all company safety procedures and checklists

Requirements

  • Proven 1-2 years of Field Service Technician experience
  • Customer service mindset
  • Technical degree or certification a plus
  • Professional demeanor in all customer and company encounters
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting
  • English literacy
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Strong written and verbal communication and customer relation skills
  • Must be able to work independently to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Results-oriented with attention to organization, detail, and accuracy
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and ability to move around equipment and customer site as needed to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Proficient using power tools, hand tools, smartphone, and tablet PC
  • Strong general computer skills
  • Electrical troubleshooting a plus
  • Will involve regular overnight and daily travel
  • Inventory Experience
  • Traveling and/or Staying Overnight
  • Coding Expenses
