Location: Lloydminster, Alberta

Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly – Operations

Compensation: $32.77/hr

Pre-employment Requirement: Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference check

About the Role

We’re seeking a dedicated Plant Utility team member to support the housekeeping and sanitation efforts at our canola crush plant in Lloydminster, Alberta. This role offers hands-on experience working with production areas and equipment, with opportunities for growth and cross-training into plant operations.

You will play a key role in maintaining clean, safe, and efficient production environments while supporting the overall plant operation in all weather conditions.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform housekeeping and sanitation duties in production areas
  • Inspect and clean process equipment such as hammer mills, flaking mills, baghouses, pumps, expellers, and decanters after training
  • Sample canola seed trucks, grade seeds, and enter results into computer systems
  • Assist with operating and adjusting mechanical and production equipment as training progresses
  • Operate mobile equipment after receiving proper training
  • Carry out all other duties as required to support safe and efficient plant operations

  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions
  • Team player with initiative and a strong work ethic
  • Physical stamina to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work in varied weather conditions and adapt to rotating shifts

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Holding a 4th Class ABSA steam ticket is a plus

Work Schedule and Additional Information

  • Rotating 12-hour shifts on a 4 days on/5 days off, 5 days on/4 days off, and 5 days on/5 days off schedule covering day and night shifts
  • Overtime opportunities available occasionally
  • Compliance with all safety, environmental, and food safety regulations is essential
  • Potential for transfer within the facility based on performance, including to housekeeping or production operations
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and maintain that authorization
  • Relocation assistance is not provided for this position
