Job Description
As a Senior GL / R2R Accountant at ArcelorMittal, your role will involve managing end-to-end General Ledger and Record-to-Report (R2R) activities in a shared services / multinational environment. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely month-end close. Key Responsibilities: - Perform General Ledger (GL) accounting, including account reconciliations and balance sheet reviews - Manage intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and settlements across entities - Handle month-end close activities, including preparation and posting of Manual Journal Entries (MJEs) - Support financial consolidation and reporting activities - Perform foreign exchange (FX) revaluation and analyze currency impacts - Ensure compliance with IFRS / GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements - Work extensively on SAP (FI/CO, SAP HANA) for accounting and reporting - Use advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting / Finance (BCom, MCom, MBA Finance, CA, CPA preferred) - 5 years of relevant experience in GL / R2R accounting - Strong exposure to SAP FI/CO or SAP HANA - Experience working in shared services / MNC environments - Good analytical and communication skills About ArcelorMittal: ArcelorMittal is the world's leading steel and mining company, with a strong global presence across more than 60 countries.
