Senior Analyst, Loan Brokerage

<p><strong>Overview</strong></p> <p>Arbor Realty Trust is building a best-in-class Loan Brokerage platform and is seeking an elite Real Estate Sr. Analyst to help drive its growth. This is a high-impact role designed for technically rigorous candidates who want front-line exposure to complex deal structuring, institutional counterparties, and a high-volume transaction environment.</p> <p>You will operate at the intersection of underwriting, credit, and capital markets—working directly with senior broker, originators and lenders to structure and execute debt and preferred equity placements. This role is intentionally demanding and offers accelerated exposure to live transactions, sophisticated financing structures, and decision-makers across the capital stack.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead <strong>institutional-grade underwriting</strong> of commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on multifamily and structured finance executions</li> <li>Build <strong>advanced, dynamic Excel models</strong> from scratch (cash flows, waterfalls, debt sizing, sensitivity frameworks, scenario analysis)</li> <li>Analyze <strong>borrower credit, sponsorship quality, and capital structure</strong> with a lender’s risk lens</li> <li>Structure and position transactions for execution across a wide range of capital providers (CMBS, banks, debt funds, agencies, life companies)</li> <li>Produce <strong>high-quality lender materials</strong> (offering memoranda, underwriting narratives, deal books) that meet institutional standards</li> <li>Interface directly with <strong>capital providers and credit teams</strong>, managing diligence, responding to lender feedback, and driving competitive tension</li> <li>Work on <strong>multiple live deals simultaneously</strong> in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment</li> <li>Evaluate <strong>market dynamics, pricing, and liquidity trends</strong> to inform deal strategy and lender selection</li> <li>Play a key role in <strong>transaction execution</strong>, including diligence, third-party coordination, and closing processes</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who You Are</strong></p> <ul> <li>2–5+ years of experience in <strong>commercial real estate underwriting, credit, investment banking, or debt placement</strong></li> <li>Background from a <strong>bank, debt fund, or top-tier brokerage platform strongly preferred</strong></li> <li>Advanced Excel proficiency is non-negotiable—you can <strong>build complex models quickly and accurately without templates</strong></li> <li>Deep familiarity with <strong>CRE debt products</strong> (agency, bridge, balance sheet, structured finance)</li> <li>Strong command of <strong>property-level analysis</strong> (rent rolls, T-12s, reforecasting, market comps) and <strong>borrower financials</strong> (this is the whole key)</li> <li>Highly detail-oriented with a <strong>credit-first mindset</strong> and strong risk awareness</li> <li>Able to operate with <strong>speed, precision, and accountability</strong> under tight timelines</li> </ul> <p><strong>What Sets This Role Apart</strong></p> <ul> <li>Direct exposure to <strong>high-volume, institutional-quality deal flow</strong> through Arbor’s national platform</li> <li>Opportunity to help build and scale a <strong>newly established Loan Brokerage business</strong> within a public REIT</li> <li>Meaningful interaction with <strong>top-tier lenders and capital providers</strong> across the market</li> <li>A <strong>meritocratic, execution-driven environment</strong> with significant learning curve and upside</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em>Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. offers a competitive base salary and discretionary bonus. The starting base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $99,000. The specific compensation that will be offered is based on an understanding of the hired candidates' qualifications at the time of hire. Employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus based on employee work performance reviewed during the course of the year.
