Job Title: Data Engineer

Experience: 5 – 9 Years

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will take end-to-end ownership of data products and work closely with cross-functional teams to develop reliable, high-performance data pipelines and platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This role requires strong expertise in data engineering, cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and data modeling, along with the ability to collaborate with product teams to support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, optimize, and support existing and new data products aligned with the target architecture.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing frameworks on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure following DevOps best practices.
• Ensure data products meet security, scalability, observability, and performance standards.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Work with cross-domain product teams supporting data mesh architecture concepts.
• Identify opportunities to improve data platforms and reduce technical debt.
• Stay up to date with the latest data engineering, analytics, and cloud technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–9 years of overall experience in data engineering or related roles.
• At least 4+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong experience with GCP tools such as Dataflow and BigQuery.
• Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT).
• Proficiency in SQL and data query languages.
• Experience with data formats such as Avro and Parquet.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience ingesting data from on-premise systems and other cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Good understanding of data modeling techniques and architectural trade-offs.
• Knowledge of NoSQL and relational databases (RDBMS).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools.
