SAP Data Migration Consultant (BODS + ABAP) / Senior SAP BODS Data Migration Lead

Location: Toronto, Canada

Work Type: Hybrid (Remote option may be possible)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Role Overview

As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer, you will lead the design, development, testing, and support of complex SAP solutions. You will collaborate with architecture, integration, and business teams to deliver secure and scalable SAP systems aligned with the organization’s strategic roadmap.

The ideal candidate should be highly confident, technically strong, and capable of communicating effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of SAP ABAP and ABAP Objects, including performance tuning and code reviews.
• Design and implement solutions using RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
• Develop and support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and HANA CDS Views.
• Support integration with SAP PI/PO, SAP Data Services (BODS), SAP CPI, and external cloud systems.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and support architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including Object-Oriented ABAP and S/4HANA development.
• Hands-on experience with RICEF development including:
• Reports
• Enhancements
• IDocs
• BAPIs
• BADIs
• Adobe Forms / Smart Forms
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA, CDS Views, and performance optimization.
• Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 integration and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, HANA Studio, and Eclipse ABAP.
• Familiarity with middleware and integration technologies such as SAP PI/PO and SAP CPI.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to mentor team members and work with cross-functional teams.)
