With a team of 100+ professionals across manufacturing, projects, design, applications, software, controls, and sales, Anzo Controls is rapidly expanding its footprint. To strengthen our engineering team, we are looking for a passionate and skilled Electrical Design Engineer.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for automation and robotics solutions such as conveyors, AGVs/AMRs, palletizers, ASRS, gantry systems, and robotic cells.
- Prepare electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and single line diagrams using tools like EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar software.
- Design and develop control panels, power distribution panels, and field wiring architecture.
- Select appropriate electrical components such as PLCs, VFDs, sensors, safety devices, relays, contactors, cables, and terminal blocks.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and electrical documentation for manufacturing and installation.
- Work closely with mechanical, controls, software, and project teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Support new product development and customization based on customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety norms, and industry regulations.
- Provide engineering support during panel manufacturing, machine assembly, testing, and commissioning.
- Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control as per company standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for electrical components and technical clarifications.
Key Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in electrical design, preferably in automation, robotics, or industrial machinery.
- Strong hands-on experience in EPLAN / AutoCAD Electrical / similar electrical design software (preferred).
- Good understanding of PLC-based automation systems, sensors, drives, and industrial control panels.
- Knowledge of robotics electrical systems, field wiring, and machine safety circuits is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, etc.
- Basic understanding of electrical standards, panel wiring practices, cable sizing, and grounding concepts.
- Experience in control panel design and electrical layout planning.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into practical electrical designs.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies.
- Willingness to visit shop floor and project sites when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering or related technical qualification is preferred (experience is valued at Anzo Controls).
