Children Animators – Summer Camp and Specialized Activities Workshops
Animation KIDZ is a company that specialize in children’s programming. We provide specialized activities (robotics, coding, arts, woodburning, lego, sports, etc.) for children ages 5 to 15. We aim to make it as fun as possible for both the children and the animator. Come and have an incredibly fun summer with us!
Position: Childcare worker/Shadow Animator
Location: 11 ave Rodney, Pointe-Claire
· Time: Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm
· Salary: $17.60/hour
· Must be available for training in May and June
· 9 weeks of camp from the end of June to August (must be available for all 9 weeks)
Job Objective: Provide support to children who require additional assistance to participate in camp activities and assist as an animator when required. Ensures a safe and inclusive environment for all campers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise children during camp activities.
- Provide one to one support to a child when needed.
- Adapt activities to meet children's needs.
- Communicate with coordinators regarding progress and concerns.
- Maintain a safe and positive camp environment.
- Assist with behavior management strategies to support children in adapting to camp routines.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
- CPR/First Aid certification is an asset.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
- Experience working with children with special needs (minimum 2 years).
