The International Company Placement & Training Coordinator is responsible for developing international corporate partnerships, facilitating overseas internships, placements, and preparing students for global employment opportunities. The role focuses on training students to meet international standards, coordinating recruitment drives with international companies, compliance and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- International Placement Development
- Identify and establish partnerships with international companies especially those in Japan, EU, UAE/Gulf region, UK and South Korea. And GCC/multinational companies abroad.
- Coordinate overseas recruitment drives (virtual and on-site).
- Facilitate placement opportunities in countries such as USA, Canada, Germany, Japan, UAE, Singapore, Australia, etc.
- Maintain database of international recruiters and job openings.
- Student Training & Preparation
- Advise students on international placement opportunities and eligibility via workshops, Alumni sessions etc.
- Organize training programs aligned with global industry standards.
- Organize and conduct foreign language programs to achieve desired certification levels as mandated by relevant global companies.
- Conduct sessions/workshops on:
- International interview preparation.
- Cross-cultural and professional communication.
- Global workplace ethics.
- Resume & LinkedIn profile optimization.
- Technical skill enhancement.
- Prepare students for international certifications where relevant (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.).
- Corporate Relations
- Build long-term relationships with International HR managers, recruiters and foreign consultants working towards international placements.
- Establish and manage Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with international companies to support global placement opportunities.
- Coordinate pre-placement training aligned to international employer and industry standards.
- Track global employment trends and emerging sectors.
- Develop and leverage international partnerships through strategic networking and effective negotiation.
- Plan and deliver targeted global webinars, guest lectures, and employer networking events to enhance student engagement and opportunities.
- Visa & Documentation Support
- To be current on latest policies and rules in vogue of Visa processes and documentations of all countries selected for placements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current visa policies, regulations, and documentation requirements for all countries designated for student placements.
- Provide comprehensive guidance to students on work visa procedures and required documentation.
- Liaise and coordinate with immigration consultants, where applicable, to facilitate accurate and timely visa processing.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant international employment laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
- Placement Coordination
- Maintain comprehensive student data such as Technical/Academic/Skill/Foreign language information on a dashboard.
- Schedule interviews and assessment and track progress weekly/ as guided by the consultants/companies.
- Maintain documents on student placement records and salary packages.
- Prepare monthly reports and placement statistics for management.
- Industry & Market Research
- To be current on latest global job market trends.
- Identify emerging international job opportunities in:
- IT & Software.
- Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- Aeronautical Engineering.
- Core Engineering such as Mechanical, Civil, Electrical etc.
- Healthcare.
- Finance.
- Data Science.
- Artificial Intelligence.
- Architecture and Design.
- Fashion Technology & Interior Design.
- Pharmacy.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, HR, International Business, or relevant field.
- 5–10 years of experience in international placements, corporate relations, or overseas recruitment and working experience.
- Experience working with multinational companies in international countries is preferred.
- Excellent communication, cross-cultural skills and negotiation skills.
- Problem-solving and crisis management capability.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple timelines and strict deadlines efficiently, ensuring timely completion of all placements, visa, and compliance processes.
