Are you a passionate therapist eager to make a real impact but not interested in navigating the complexities of running a private practice? At Anchoring Hope Counseling, we’ve created a supportive and thriving environment where you can focus on what you love—being a therapist—while we handle the business side of things!
We are looking for a candidate who can start part-time and move to full time as their caseload builds with full-time being on average 20 clients per week.

We accept several major insurances including commercial policies of Anthem, Aetna, United, & Cigna, ensuring that those in need receive the support they deserve.

The Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for a self-motivated, flexible, ethical, and fun therapist who shares our passion for reducing mental health stigma and closing care gaps in our community. If you value creativity, authenticity, compassion, and teamwork, you’ll be a perfect fit!
Responsibilities
- Consistently bill a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Diagnose mental health conditions, create and implement treatment plans, and maintain accurate/timely documentation.
- Manage your availability and repeat client scheduling.
- Collaborate with a client’s treatment team and our dynamic staff to provide the best care possible.
- Attend and actively participate in clinical staff meetings and trainings.
Qualifications
- A master’s degree in a behavioral science or related field.
- A valid VA license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psychologist, etc.).
- Experience with assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation that meets insurance requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse client base.
- Proficiency with office technology and EHR systems.

We have 2 positions available (1 in Wise & 1 in Abingdon, Virginia) with flexible work schedules available.
