Supply Chain Engineer

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring engineering projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and review customer enquiries, drawings, specifications, and requirements
• Good understanding of supply chain business operations and order processing.
• Purchase order follow-up with suppliers on pending orders.
• Sourcing the most affordable materials in terms of price & quality for the projects.
• Coordinate with engineering and production teams for feasibility study and quotation inputs
• Vendor Management and Monitoring.
• Supplier evaluations based on key parameters like quality, Price, Delivery commitments, Response Time of vendor, etc.
• Ensure proper order review before acceptance (technical, quality, delivery, and commercial aspects)
• Confirm customer requirements, including drawings, revisions, tolerances, quantities, and delivery
• Communicate order confirmation, delivery schedules, and changes to customers
• Coordinate customer visits, audits, and technical discussions
• Coordinate with production, stores, and logistics for on-time delivery
• Share dispatch details, invoices, and supporting documents with customers
• Collect customer feedback and address complaints/concerns.
• Register and track customer complaints
• Coordinate root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Monitor closure effectiveness and communicate responses to customers
• Support customer satisfaction measurement and improvement activities.
• Maintain records related to inquiries, order reviews, changes, complaints, and communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E / B.Tech. (Mechanical preferred)

Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in customer handling / order processing / project coordination
• Exposure to machining or manufacturing industries preferred

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Knowledge of order processing, delivery planning, and customer complaint handling
• Familiarity with ERP, MS Excel, and documentation systems
• Customer-focused and problem-solving mindset

• On-time quotation and order confirmation
• On-time delivery performance
• Customer complaint closure time
• Customer satisfaction level

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
