Supply Chain Engineer

A Supply Chain Engineer optimizes the flow of goods, information, and financial resources by analyzing processes, enhancing efficiency, and reducing costs. They collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics to manage inventory, select suppliers, and implement technology like SAP or Python, ensuring on-time delivery and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement: Analyze inventory, logistics, and production processes to identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements.

Data Analysis & Modeling: Use tools like SQL, Excel, and Power BI to analyze performance metrics and forecast demand.

Supplier Management: Coordinate with suppliers to manage procurement, monitor performance, and negotiate contracts.

System Optimization: Design, implement, and maintain supply chain systems, including ERPs and warehouse management systems.

Risk Management: Identify vulnerabilities in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), data analytics tools (Excel, Python, Tableau), and Microsoft Office suite.

Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to collaborate across departments and manage supplier relationships.
