Family Law Associate Attorney

The Role
We are seeking a motivated, empathetic, and detail-oriented Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing team. This is an ideal position for a newly licensed attorney or someone with 1–2 years of experience who is passionate about family law.
We don't just hand you a file; we invest in your career. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship from senior counsel while managing a diverse caseload.
Core Responsibilities
· Litigation & Advocacy: Represent clients in the Fairfax County Circuit and Juvenile & Domestic Relations Courts for hearings, motions, and trials.
· Caseload Management: Handle matters involving divorce, child custody, visitation, child support, spousal support, and adoptions.
· Drafting: Prepare high-quality pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and Property Settlement Agreements (PSAs).
· Client Counseling: Provide empathetic, clear, and realistic legal advice to clients during emotionally charged situations.
· Alternative Dispute Resolution: Assist in and attend mediations and settlement conferences.
Qualifications
· Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
· Active Member of the Virginia State Bar (in good standing) or pending results from the most recent bar exam.
· Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
· A genuine interest in family law and helping individuals navigate domestic challenges.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Preferred Skills
· Bilingual (Spanish/English): Highly preferred but not required.
