Role Description
The Staff Attorney supports ADC's litigation efforts by conducting legal research, drafting documents, and contributing to the full lifecycle of civil rights cases. ADC is currently seeking to fill one additional Staff Attorney position immediately to address growing caseload demands and expand the organization's litigation capacity. This is a mission-critical hire.
Reports To: President; will report to Legal Director upon hire
FLSA Status: Exempt
Compensation: $80,000+, commensurate with experience, plus benefits

ADC's legal team is operating at full capacity with significant demand for additional case intake. This new Staff Attorney position is essential to maintaining the quality of ADC's legal work, protecting staff wellbeing, and expanding the organization's civil rights impact at a critical moment.
Key Responsibilities
● Conduct legal research and analysis on constitutional claims, civil rights violations, discrimination, and related matters
● Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and litigation support documents
● Support case development, factual investigation, and litigation strategy under the supervision of the Legal Director and President
● Coordinate with co-counsel, partner organizations, and pro bono attorneys as needed
● Respond to emerging legal issues affecting the Arab American and MENA communities
● Argue cases in district court as experience and assignment allow
● Collaborate closely with the Senior Staff Attorney and Intake Specialist
