Job Description

Overview

As Sr. Sales Operations Manager, you will help Amazon Autos scale from startup to transform one of life's biggest purchases. You will be the strategic force that transforms complexity into clarity, chaos into systems, and manual work into intelligent automation. This is your chance to build something from the early stages at Amazon scale and shape the future of the automotive industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Architect operational excellence from ambiguity — building the playbooks, processes, and systems that transform how we recruit dealers, onboard sellers, and ensure their success
  • Engineer time back for your colleagues through intelligent automation and centralized processes, converting hours of manual work into minutes of strategic impact
  • Anticipate and eliminate friction before it becomes a bottleneck — identify where deals stall and design elegant solutions that keep momentum flowing
  • Translate complexity into clarity by building decision frameworks and operating models that bring structure to fast-moving, ambiguous environments
  • Drive transformational change that sticks — lead adoption initiatives with data-driven rigor and customer-obsessed empathy
  • Partner with senior leaders across the organization, bringing both strategic vision and execution excellence to every conversation

A day in the life

Morning: Review dashboard metrics tracking operational health across the seller pipeline; investigate contracting timelines when there is variance.

Mid-Morning: Strategy session with Business Development leadership to present automated dealer recruitment scoring using data from the past 12 months, with potential time savings and improved conversion rates.

Afternoon: Collaborate with Product and Engineering on the roadmap for a new seller portal to centralize communications and reduce back-and-forth; translate operational pain points into technical requirements.

Late Afternoon: Review change management plans for upcoming tool rollouts; craft communications that drive adoption and balance practical benefits with available resources.

End of Day: Update the operational transformation roadmap, prioritize initiatives by impact and effort, and share metrics showing automation results and capacity gains with leadership.

Throughout the day, you’ll be the person others turn to when processes break down or when you need a bigger-picture perspective combined with attention to detail.

  • Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translating results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
