About the position

Amazon is looking for an exceptional attorney to support the growing North American Seller Business & Programs Team. This role involves providing day-to-day legal support to business teams, developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative, efficient, and business-centric ways, and helping business teams launch new programs, products, and features for sellers. The position also requires serving as lead counsel in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, resolving issues arising in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal support to business teams and develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, efficient, and business-centric ways
• Help business teams launch new programs, products and features for sellers
• Serve as lead counsel in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Resolve issues arising in existing commercial relationships, and handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries

Requirements

• 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
