Our goal is to create innovative automotive discovery and shopping experiences on Amazon, providing customers with greater convenience and a wider selection. You'll work in a creative, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment at the center of Amazon's innovation.We're looking for a talented Front-End Engineer to lead UI development, collaborate with product managers, UX designers, UX researchers , Data Scientists to design, develop, and test innovative automotive-shopping experiences for our customers. You will enjoy a fast-paced environment where you can obsess over customers by creating intuitive customer journey in amazon.com and mobile apps.

Key job responsibilities
- Define scalable front end architectures, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall user experience
- Define best practices for front end development
- Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, Science and generalist Software Development Engineers to deliver the product.
- Take responsibility for technical problem-solving, creatively meeting product goals, and developing best practices.
- You will design and develop wide variety of front-end technologies, web applications and mobile apps A day in the life In this role, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working on one of Amazon's newest business ventures. As a key member, you will collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, operations, and business development to bring innovative solutions to our customers.
Your engineering expertise will be leveraged to research and deliver novel solutions to existing problems, explore emerging problem spaces, and create new knowledge. You will invent and apply state-of-the-art technologies, UX design patterns, machine learning to build next-generation solutions for millions of Amazon customers.
About the team
This is a critical role for a newly formed team with a vision to create innovative automotive discovery and shopping experiences on Amazon, providing customers better convenience and more selection. We’re collaborating with other experienced teams at Amazon to define the future of how customers research and shop for cars online.
## BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
## PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
- Experience building reusable UX components or libraries

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
