The QA/QC Engineer for Façade Works is responsible for ensuring that all façade-related activities (glass, aluminum, cladding, curtain wall, etc.) are executed in accordance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. The role involves inspection, testing, documentation, and reporting of façade installation and materials to ensure the highest quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures and inspection test plans (ITPs) specific to façade works.
• Conduct material inspections upon delivery to site and verify compliance with approved samples and specifications.
• Inspect installation works (e.g., curtain wall, ACP cladding, aluminum frames, glazing) as per drawings and QA/QC checklists.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and ensure timely closure with corrective/preventive actions.
• Participate in mock-up inspections and factory acceptance tests (FATs) at fabrication facilities.
• Prepare and maintain all quality records and documentation related to façade work (e.g., RFI, MIR, WIR, checklists).
• Assist in reviewing method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings for compliance.
• Ensure façade works are executed in compliance with relevant codes (e.g., ASTM, BS, EN, AAMA).
• Conduct regular site audits and provide recommendations for quality improvements.
• Support handover documentation and final quality dossier submission to clients or consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Minimum [3-7] years of experience in QA/QC, specifically in façade works.
• In-depth knowledge of façade systems: curtain wall, unitized panels, ACP, spider glazing, etc.
• Familiar with QA/QC documentation, ITPs, and quality management systems (ISO 9001 preferred).
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of façade testing requirements (e.g., water penetration, structural load).
• Strong communication and coordination skills with contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Certifications like CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or ISO auditor training are a plus.
