Bar Staff/Server

Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create a welcoming environment for all patrons. This role involves serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for guests in a fast-paced setting.

Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in your role.

Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
• Take customer orders with professionalism and provide excellent customer service
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces in compliance with food safety standards
• Ensure responsible serving of alcohol in accordance with legal requirements and company policies
• Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
• Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere, promoting repeat business
• Follow food handling procedures and uphold food safety standards at all times
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service

Skills

• Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Knowledge of food safety and food handling procedures in the food industry
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately
• Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Previous restaurant or food service experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
• Ability to serve alcohol responsibly and adhere to legal drinking age regulations
• Hospitality mindset with a focus on creating positive guest experiences
