Network Infrastructure Engineer

*Position Overview*

This role is primarily focused on network and infrastructure project delivery, designing, deploying, and improving client environments.

You will lead and execute projects such as network builds, firewall upgrades, VoIP deployments, and connectivity solutions (e.g., site-to-site VPNs, wireless solutions, and Starlink deployments).

In addition to project work, you will occasionally support escalations, tickets, and help desk operations, especially for complex networking and infrastructure issues.

This role also requires the ability to train end users and client staff, particularly during projects such as VoIP deployments, where clear guidance and adoption support are critical.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical skills, ownership of outcomes, and clear communication with both clients and internal teams.

*What You?ll Do*

• Lead network and infrastructure projects (firewalls, switches, VPNs, wireless)
• Deploy and support VoIP systems
• Build and improve client networks (VLANs, routing, security, connectivity)
• Deliver end-user training during projects (especially VoIP rollouts)
• Support escalations and assist with tickets when required
• Work onsite and remotely across client environments
• Document work clearly and follow best practices

*What We?re Looking For*

• Strong networking experience (firewalls, routing, VPNs, wireless)
• Experience with VoIP systems
• Comfortable leading projects independently
• Able to explain technical solutions and train clients/end users
• Willing to travel to client sites when required (~25%)
• MSP experience preferred

*Requirements*

• 5+ years IT experience
• 3+ years in an MSP environment (preferred)

*Assets*

• Server administration experience (Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP)
• Microsoft 365 experience (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, etc.)
• Certifications CCNA, CompTIA Network+ / Security+, SonicWall or firewall certifications, Microsoft (Azure / Security / Identity)
• Experience with municipalities or First Nations communities is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
