Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Shift Supervisor in Ajax, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Shift Supervisor

Location: Ajax, ON

Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 - 22.00 per hour

Shifts: Monday - Sunday

Shift Timing: 0530-1500 and/or 1500-0000

Overview

We are currently seeking experienced and qualified Security Shift Supervisor to join our team in a dynamic environment. As a Security Shift Supervisor you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the safety of personnel, property, and assets through patrols, monitoring, and incident response. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and advancement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise daily security operations and ensuring full compliance with post orders and procedures.
• Lead, train, and support security staff, ensuring post order understanding, performance standards, and ongoing development.
• Manage shift coverage and break relief to maintain consistent site coverage.
• Enforce access control protocols, including screening staff, contractors, and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies, directing staff and coordinating with emergency services as required.
• Assess situations and implement effective, real-time risk mitigation strategies.
• Deter theft and loss through proactive supervision and enforcement of security procedures.
• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs and documentation for compliance and review.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• First Aid and CPR.
• 1-2 years of experience working in security.
• 3+ years experience as a Shift Supervisor
• Previous experience in logistics environments and/or operating metal detectors preferred.
• Experience in critical environments where decision making, and actions can impact life-safety and business continuity.
• Excellent administrative and computer skills are a must, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and security management software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
