Allied Universal is seeking Security Professional - Access Control Officer in Woodbridge, Ontario.
Job Title: Security Professional - Access Control Officer
Location: Woodbridge, Ontario
Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $19.87 per hour
Shifts: Saturday & Sunday | Overnight | 6pm-6am
Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Security Professional - Access Control Officer to join our team at a commercial site in Woodbridge, ON. This position involves providing security and monitoring services 24/7, with a focus on maintaining a safe and secure environment for all personnel and assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Site Surveillance & Patrol: Perform regular patrols of the site and surrounding areas to ensure the security of the premises. Monitor all entry points for unauthorized access.
- Visibility & Coverage: Maintain high visibility at the designated posts. Ensure security coverage near sensitive areas within the site.
- Access Control: Enforce site access protocols by verifying the identification of authorized personnel, logging visitor entry and exit, and ensuring that gates and doors remain securely locked when not in use.
- Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication via radio with other security personnel. Report incidents, unusual activities, or security concerns promptly.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or security breaches. Contact emergency services and assist as necessary.
- Incident Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all security activities, incidents, and patrols. Complete shift reports and provide detailed handover notes for the next shift.
- Site & Asset Protection: Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to site materials and equipment. Ensure all property is secured at all times.
- Compliance with Safety Procedures: Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
- General Security Duties: Ensure the overall safety and security of the site and surrounding areas by addressing any security risks or safety concerns that arise during the shift.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 1 year security experience
- Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
- Warehouse or Industrial environment experience
- Must be at least 18 years old or above for insurance purposes
- Good customer service, clear communication skills
- Experience with Access Control system / Gatehouse duties
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
- Excellent computer skills
- Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
