The Role
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the separation of unacceptable finished products. This position is responsible of routine tests, gauging, and inspections of finished products, components, and materials to ensure adherence to the established quality standards. This role will work closely with the Quality Control Supervisor or Lead.
What You Will Do
· Perform required inspections with measuring instruments and gauges of products during the various stages of production
· Record test information accurately
· Make recommendations to operators and production manager when adjustments are needed for improving processes
· Ensure quality procedures are followed
· Identify, hold, and evaluate non-conformance material
· Maintain all required quality documentation
· Assist with the batch documentation and labels
· Assist in the Quality Lab with testing on samples as required
· Notify Quality Control supervisor/lead when inspection data go over acceptable limits
· Follow procedures for on hold finish product
· Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the established quality program
· Inspect and pack product samples
· Participate in root-cause analysis and weekly team meetings
· Promote employee Quality awareness
Knowledge & Qualifications
Education and/or credentials in quality control or a related field
Two (2) years’ experience in Quality in a manufacturing environment, preferably with packaging products
Use and understanding of precision measuring instruments and gauges
Ability to accurately read measuring devices, diagrams, product specifications and test procedures
Must be able to read, write and speak English
Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
