OVERALL POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Canadian Operations & Distribution Centre Manager plays a pivotal Leadership role in managing our Warehouse & Distribution Fulfillment Team & Processes; Lean & Continuous Improvement Program; Inventory & Quality Management and Health & Safety Culture. This position is responsible for Team Leadership, streamlining processes, developing analytical tools and providing actionable recommendations to drive success. Working in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, all to optimize our Customer’s experience.
KEY FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
Ø Responsibility for all Team Members across our Operations Scope (including Distribution Centre Fulfillment, Warehouse, Assembly/Rework/Production, Inventory &Quality and related)
Ø Responsibility for all Operational Process related to inventory receiving through to customer order fulfillment.
Ø As Part of Canadian Leadership Team … helps Plan and Lead Teams/Departments responsible for planning, production and shipment of products. Key Areas of accountability include safety, quality, productivity, people, cost, delivery and supporting & help meet the Management System (MS) towards exceeding customer requirements for quality, cost, and delivery while helping improve facility profitability and growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES OF POSITION:
Oversee Daily Order Process Execution: Operational Process for Meeting Daily Management of Customer Order Demand
Oversee Quality & Inventory: Ensure Accuracy, Inventory & Cost Management
Oversee Assembly, Rework & Production: Light Assembly, Production & Spooling Supporting Inventory, Customer Demand and through to Special & Private Labelling
Process Improvement: Responsible for Key Operational KPI’s/Metrics Through To Identify and address gaps, risks, and opportunities in business processes to enhance operational efficiency and
ourCustomer’s Experience; continually embraceand identify Continuous Improvement Opportunities (notably through “Waste” Reduction and Lean execution)
Oversee Maintenance and Building Security
Safety: Drives, Communicates, ensures, and maintains all safety guidelines and standards are followed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION AND LICENCES:
Degree or Equivalent Experience:
Ø A formal degree is not a requirement for this position however a diploma or degree in a related discipline is advantageous but not mandatory.
Ø Priority focus of experience related to Distribution Centre Management and/or Team Management in a field of Customer Order Fulfillment, Rework and/or LightAssembly
Years of Experience:
Ø Multiple years of in equivalent experience is preferred.
Training In:
Ø Lean and/or Continuous Improvement Process and Culture Ø Health and Safety
Ø Training will be provided for specific role expectations and related outputs.
Licensed In:
Ø There are no specific license requirements for this position.
Certifications In:
Ø There are no specific certification requirements for this position.
Ø Beneficial (or potentially required at a later date) Forklift Operation, First Aid
SPECIFIC REPORTING STRUCTURE:
· This position and Team Member will report directly to the Canadian General Manager (whom is also a Member of the Global Executive Team)
· This position will also have an indirect relationship with different aspects of Global Operations, Lean and Health &Safety Teams
· There is minimal traveling required with this position
OVERALL REPORTING AND INTERACTIVE STRUCTURE:
· This position has direct reporting Teams, notably:
o Distribution Fulfilment Pick/Pack/Shipping Supervisors (and their Teams) o Receiving Supervisors (and their Team)
o Production & Assembly Supervisor (and their Team) o Returns Supervisor (and their Team)
o Facility Maintenance o Inventory and Quality
· This position will be/may be required to work directly and indirectly with others both within the Canadian Division, (in Waterloo, Ontario) and across the Global organization notably in collaboration for Operations, Distribution Process, Health & Safety and Lean/Continuous Improvement.
· This position may be required to work directly with Customers to ensure the overall consistency and quality of our Customer Experience.
