Gallery Technician for Artwork Preparation

Join a professional contemporary art environment as a detail-oriented Gallery Technician. Collaborate with a dynamic team while handling installation, packing, and general maintenance for diverse artworks.

This part-time position requires a commitment of 24 hours each week. As a Gallery Technician, you'll work independently and alongside the Sales Team and Gallery Director on various tasks. Key responsibilities include the installation and de-installation of exhibitions, packing artworks for shipping, maintaining gallery organization, and ensuring proper lighting for displays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with unpacking, packing, and logging artworks
• Deliver and install artworks at residential and commercial sites
• Safely transport artwork through gallery spaces
• Construct crates and perform basic carpentry tasks
• Maintain gallery cleanliness, including repairs

Requirements

• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Knowledge of framing and mounting techniques
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in art handling, fabrication, or carpentry
• Class 5 driver's license and comfort operating vehicles
