Description
As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
Additional Required Qualifications:
This is a Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging position. The successful candidate should have the ability to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and take call by responding within 30 minutes. Working within a team environment, good interpersonal skills, effective time management and the ability to set priorities are necessary. Excellent communication skills both oral and written are required. Must be adaptable and flexible within an environment of change and interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications
Laboratory experience working with Ortho Chemistry Analyzer, ACL Elite Pro, and the Sysmex Hematology analyzer. Diagnostic Imaging experience with the RADspeed PRO DR. EPIC LIS experience is preferred.
