Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Pharmacist role based in Ranchi. The Senior Pharmacist will oversee daily pharmacy operations, including dispensing medications accurately, managing inventory, and ensuring safe storage and handling of drugs. The role involves reviewing prescriptions for appropriateness, potential interactions, and dosing, and providing clear counseling to patients and guidance to clinical teams on medication use. management, and help implement medication safety initiatives. The position also includes supervising junior pharmacy staff, coordinating shift activities, maintaining documentation, and participating in audits and quality improvement programs.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in prescription review, dispensing processes, and patient counseling on correct medication use.
• Experience in inventory management, including procurement, storage, stock rotation, and expiry control.
• Leadership and supervisory skills to guide, train, and support junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with physicians, nurses, and other clinical teams.
• D.pharm(diploma in pharmacy) from a recognized institution; valid registration with the appropriate pharmacy council.
• Comfort using hospital information sysems, electronic medical records, and pharmacy management software.
