Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a QA Manager for a direct hire position onsite in Salem, VA.
Pay Range: $115,000.00 to $118,000.00 per hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
About The Role
This role will lead Quality Assurance efforts at a manufacturing site (~125 employees) with a focus on improving processes, mentoring team members, and driving quality standards across a multi-shift operation. The environment is fast-paced and evolving, requiring a leader who can operate in ambiguity and help bring structure to existing processes.
QA Manager Job Responsibilities Include
This individual will oversee QA operations, manage one direct report (Quality Supervisor) and four indirect reports across multiple shifts, and partner closely with plant leadership and HR. Responsibilities include improving and standardizing QA processes, supporting regulatory and audit activities, analyzing quality data, and mentoring team members to elevate overall quality performance within the plant.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years in quality management
- Hands-on experience with wet chemistry techniques such as pH measurement, titrations, and lab-based testing.
- Experience in CPG or related manufacturing environments and strong data analysis capabilities (SPC, quality metrics).
Pay Details: $115,000.00 to $118,000.00 per year
