Eligible for a Secret Clearance Position Overview Akamai Intelligence is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee multiple core accounting functions and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's financial records.

The Accounting

Manager will lead general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, asset, cost, and tax accounting activities, while driving process improvements and supporting a growing government contracting business.

Key Responsibilities Manage multiple accounting functions and daily operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, asset, cost, and tax accounting.

Implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards.

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements and management reports.

Review, evaluate, and optimize accounting processes, workflows, and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

Lead the use and continuous improvement of Unanet and other financial systems to support project accounting and government contracting requirements.

Ensure accurate project, department, and company-level financial reporting, including tracking against approved budgets and supporting variance analyses.

Partner with leadership to ensure project/department milestones and financial goals are met while maintaining budget discipline.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., operations, contracts, HR, auditors, tax advisors) to support audits, reviews, and compliance activities.

Develop, mentor, and direct accounting professionals and support staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

Serve as a true first-level manager with full authority for personnel actions, including hiring, performance management, and professional development planning.
