Senior Security Officer (Maharashtra)

Role: Senior Security Officer

Location: Mumbai Airport

The incumbent shall be responsible for overseeing and executing the following security functions:

• Ensuring strict access control to the aircraft
• Conducting aircraft security searches and security checks during routine operations as well as in bomb threat situations
• Screening of registered and unaccompanied baggage, cargo, mail, and company stores
• Maintaining surveillance of screened baggage until its acceptance at check-in counters
• Exercising security control over checked baggage from the point of acceptance by the aircraft operator until it is loaded onto the aircraft
• Carrying out passenger baggage reconciliation and identification procedures
• Ensuring the security of baggage tags, boarding cards, and all relevant flight documents
• Managing the security of mishandled, unaccompanied, transit, and transfer baggage
• Conducting secondary security checks at the aircraft ladder point
• Overseeing the security of catering items from the pre-setting stage until loading onto the aircraft
• Ensuring security control and escort of express cargo, courier bags, company stores, parcels, and mail bags from the city side up to the aircraft

The role demands a high level of vigilance, adherence to regulatory standards, and coordination with multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless and secure airport operations.
