Affinity Credit Union is seeking a leader who brings collaborative curiosity, strong communication skills, and thoughtful judgment to our Credit Compliance function. This role plays a critical part in helping Affinity meet its credit obligations while strengthening processes, building confidence, and supporting informed decision‑making across the organization.
What you'll do
- Coaches and mentors a team to manage the credit compliance function and supporting policies and standards, providing assurance that credit requirements are being met
- Collaborates with and provides advice to business units to ensure procedures are updated to reflect relevant changes
- Promotes a risk culture that underpins Affinity’s core values and is regarded as a key objective in business decisions and processes.
- Researches, tests, implements and maintains policies, standards, processes and procedures that outline the activities and workflows of the compliance function.

What you’ve got:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, plus 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced knowledge of credit regulations, practices, including research and environmental scanning
- Intermediate technical knowledge of compliance and risk oversight, including testing and reviewing control systems
- Ability to lead, engage, and coach employees, set clear expectations, review progress, provide feedback and guidance, and hold people accountable
- Ability to conduct and use leading practice research to create, implement, and revise innovative processes
