Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping/Receiving Clerk responsible for managing inbound and outbound shipments. This role requires ensuring the accurate delivery of items to their intended destinations and coordinating effectively with drivers while assigning dock doors. The position involves handling FDA-regulated products, where attention to detail and quality are prioritized over quantity. The ideal candidate should be capable of identifying mistakes and ensuring compliance with GMP and SOP standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and outbound shipments ensuring accurate delivery.
• Coordinate with drivers and assign dock doors.
• Handle FDA-regulated products with attention to detail.
• Prioritize quality over quantity in all operations.
• Identify mistakes and ensure compliance with GMP/SOPs.

Essential Skills

• Shipping and receiving experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Effective communication skills with drivers.
• Inventory management skills.
• Computer skills including RF Scanner knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with GMPs/SOPs is a bonus.
• Experience with SAP and inventory systems is advantageous.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

This role operates during D shift from 7pm to 7:15am on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday. The position is located in a large, semi-climate controlled 500,000 square ft. warehouse with 40 employees. The facility is brand new with air conditioning in summer but no heat in winter due to product temperature requirements. As a distribution hub for chocolate manufacturing, the site processes beans, chocolate liquor, powders, cocoa butter, and more.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
