Job Description

The Security Installation Technician is responsible for installing, servicing, and testing low-voltage security systems at commercial and construction sites. This role involves hands-on installation work, reading drawings, running and terminating cable, and ensuring systems are installed safely and to code.

Responsibilities

• Install and service security systems including cameras, access control, and related low-voltage devices.
• Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cables, following drawings, layouts, and job specifications.
• Troubleshoot basic system and wiring issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized worksite.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of security install experience
• Strong English communication skills.
• Experience with electrical, conduit, wiring, conduit bending, pulling wire, bending conduit, fiber optic, and security systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Commercial/TI experience is a plus.
• Leadership qualities are desirable.

Work Environment

Working within the security division of the company, the shift is Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime as needed. The current job locations are in Vancouver, Burnaby, and Mission, requiring a willingness to commute.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
