Package Handler

Company Overview:

Aerotek is seeking a Package Handler to perform pickups and deliveries, ensuring that products and materials are transported accurately and on schedule. This role is vital for maintaining operational efficiency and meeting customer needs through precise handling of shipments, documentation, and logistical tasks.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Package Handler, you will oversee the collection, transportation, and delivery of products and materials. You will assist in loading and unloading trucks, verify quantities, and maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.

• Conduct pickups and drop-offs within assigned areas.
• Coordinate the receipt of incoming goods and shipment of outgoing items on schedule.
• Transport goods and supplies to designated locations.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods from trucks efficiently.
• Verify quantities of received goods to ensure accuracy.
• Forward required paperwork to the appropriate department.
• Maintain precise inventory and material tracking records.
• Utilize scanning equipment and digital platforms to monitor shipments and orders effectively.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in courier or delivery roles is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office and email systems.
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical delivery tasks.
• Knowledge of logistics processes, material handling, and scanner use.
• CDL license preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly wage: $18.00 - $19.00.
