Job Summary
The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for shaping the company’s brand narratives, developing clear, differentiated value messaging rooted in customer insight across multiple brands and business lines. This role develops the content strategy aligned to business priorities and leads the execution, translating strategy into compelling content across channels, including websites, thought leadership, collateral, video, email and advertising campaigns. As a people leader, the Marketing Communications Manager coaches and manages the content team and oversees external vendors. This role requires a self‑starter who is detail‑oriented, collaborative and a creative problem solver.
Essential Functions:
- Develop content marketing strategy aligned to business priorities and customer trends that drive brand awareness and demand generation.
- Translate complex products, services or POVs into compelling, customer-centric narratives – creating customer value propositions, key messages and thought leadership that demonstrates expertise and experience.
- Understand key customer segments, develop and refine customer personas.
- Write and/or produce content for multiple brands, audiences, channels and formats including blogs, white papers, email, case studies, videos and promotional plans – ensure content is optimized for search, accessibility and social promotion.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to streamline workflows, scale content development and version messaging across audience segments while maintaining brand and quality standards.
- Act as brand steward, ensuring all content adheres to brand voice, tone, guidelines and overall quality.
- Partner with web team to continuously optimize website content, effectively balancing business strategy, user experience and SEO needs and best practices.
- Coach and lead content team to execute and deliver consistent high-quality, high-performing content across marketing materials.
- Provide clear direction, prioritization and feedback to support team’s workload and growth.
- Establish strong internal partnerships with internal departments including learning and development, sales support and enablement, key business leaders and subject matter experts.
- Manage external vendors that support content strategy, writing and creation, video production and SEO efforts.
- Define, track and report on success metrics for content performance data; applying insights to optimize messaging, content formats and channel mix.
- Manage the translation process across all content.
Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, English or Business or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 6-10 years of brand and communications marketing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and a high level of customer service skills
- Strong understanding of and experience in various writing styles – web, email, blogs – and strong understanding of digital best practices – SEO, email marketing, web analytics
- Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, SEMRush, Google Search Console or equivalent data analytics and SEO tools
- Proficient in SEO with an adequate understanding of all other marketing channels and how they integrate
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Experience managing employees, vendors and freelancers
Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $79,400 - $119,000 + bonus potential of $9,000 - $14,000
