- Lead and inspire a multi-site team of electrical engineers, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Partner with electrical and lighting suppliers to advance innovative technical solutions through certification.
- Define and drive forward-looking strategies for next-generation aircraft, delivering competitive and cutting-edge solutions.
- Design, enhance, and implement tools and processes aligned with organizational goals.
- Oversee departmental activities and reporting (knowledge domains, critical skills, expertise development, industry engagement), and execute the annual roadmap.
- Allocate engineering resources??? to meet development timelines and ensure successful project delivery.
- Set team objectives, evaluate performance, and support career growth through development plans and compensation recommendations.
- Own team performance by delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Cultivate a positive and engaging work environment through strong communication, recognition, and coaching.
- Provide clear visibility on project execution, proactively manage risks, and escalate issues when needed.
- Resolve competing priorities across the department and with internal stakeholders.
- Play an active role in talent acquisition and onboarding of new team members.
- Contribute to budget planning and ensure effective management of financial resources.
- Review and approve technical impacts related to electrical and lighting systems, ensuring full compliance.
- Identify training and travel needs to support business objectives.
- Support supplier validation and aircraft testing activities.
- Ensure strong team support for production lines and in-service aircraft.
- Lead strategic research and technology initiatives in electrical and lighting systems.
Job Description
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Over 15 years of experience in the aerospace industry, with deep knowledge of electrical and lighting systems across platform development, production, and sustaining activities.
- Strong expertise in system integration, with a clear understanding of how electrical and lighting systems interact with overall aircraft operations.
- Proven experience in aircraft electrical and lighting system integration.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for advancing business aviation.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful management experience.
- Collaborative team player, adept at working in multidisciplinary environments, with strong organizational and leadership skills, including planning and prioritization.
- Creative problem-solver capable of turning ideas into actionable solutions.
- Agile and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and non-technical information effectively; French language skills are an asset.
- Knowledge of aeronautical product certification processes is a plus.
- Experience in both developing new products and supporting products in service.
