Job Overview:
We are seeking a Jr. Structural Design Engineer specializing in steel structures to support design and analysis activities across projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in structural engineering principles and a keen interest in delivering efficient and accurate design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the analysis and design of steel structures as per project requirements
- Perform structural calculations in compliance with IS, AISC, and relevant design codes
- Prepare design reports, calculation sheets, and technical documentation
- Develop and review structural models using STAAD, ETABS, or similar tools
- Prepare and interpret engineering drawings and concept layouts
- Coordinate with BIM/CAD teams for detailing and model development
- Review engineering inputs such as estimation deliverables and design checklists
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines
Required Skills & Tools
- Basic understanding of structural design principles
- Familiarity with IS codes, AISC codes, and relevant standards
- Working knowledge of:
- STAAD / ETABS (analysis tools)
- AutoCAD / Tekla Structures (drafting & detailing)
- Knowledge of steel sections, connections, and detailing processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
