Job Title: Business Analyst

Department: Global Commercial Excellence

Reports to: Associate Director, Insights & Analytics

Main purpose of role:

The Business Analyst role focuses on supporting the Global Commercial Excellence team with managing data and reporting requirements. You will work closely with our CRM, Sales Force Effectiveness, Marketing and Medical team and will support these functions through data insights and dashboards. You love the challenge of transforming and visualising data in a meaningful and actionable way to non-technical stakeholders.

Success in the role will require someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is solution focused and has a very high attention to detail.

Key responsibilities (In Points):

• Day-to-day management of Commercial and Medical data sets in data warehouse (Azure SQL Database) and visualisation tool (Tableau)
• Assist in both ad-hoc requests and regular KPI reporting from the business
• Support automation for repeated analyses/tasks where possible
• Adjusting inputs and assumptions in Forecast Models and consolidate market forecasts
• Support GCE team members in monitoring and reporting on competitive intelligence by summarizing complex data into clear recommendations
• Partnering with several business teams to help:

• Support integration and modelling of new data sources (in SQL where needed)
• Understand their needs and translate them into actionable data assets that reveal the performance of their area and key action points
• Provide technical expertise to ensure innovative and automated solutions are deployed
• Conduct and apply analytical expertise by integrating multiple data sources and provide recommendations on the design of data
• Provide clean, transformed data that is ready for analysis in Tableau
• Building collaboration between technical and commercial team

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a business analyst role with strong focus on data visualisation and reporting automation (Tableau experience and advanced Excel skills required, Power BI plus)
• Experience within a life sciences company is advantageous

Experience & Competences:

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Advanced Tableau expertise (Tableau Cloud, Desktop, Tableau Prep...)
• Previous experience with Azure SQL Database and Power Automate (understand and write SQL queries)
• Familiarity with other BI reporting tools (Power BI, Qlik etc.)
• Experience with Google Analytics
• Experience of healthcare data sets (e.g. IQVIA, HES and other specialist data sources)
• Other programming skillset (VBA, Macros, SAS, R, Python...)

Knowledge & Skills:

• Extensive experience using data visualization tools to develop interactive, self-service dashboards in Tableau
• Advanced Excel skills for ad-hoc KPI reporting needs
• Strong experience with data modelling of new data sources

• Good understanding of data preparation for use in Tableau analysis
• Cleaning and transforming raw data into business logic
• Testing data to ensure high quality
• You have experience utilising SQL to manipulate and process large data sets to enable concise reporting and analysis from our data warehouse (Azure SQL Database)
• Experience or working knowledge of CRM system (Salesforce/Veeva)
• Working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes and competitive intelligence gathering
