We’re looking for passionate and knowledgeable tutors to help students excel in Grade 8 to 12 Science courses at the high school level. If you love teaching, are excited to help students, and want to make an impact, this role is for you.

The Details:

Contract Role: Part-time tutoring position in Biology, Chemistry or Physics

Pay: $20–$23 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: After school hours, mainly on weekday evenings and weekends

Availability: Must have a minimum availability of 15 hours per week on evenings and weekends

Location: Remote (Canada-based applicants only and must be a Canadian Citizen)

This role is designed for flexibility. Many of our tutors balance this role with other professional or academic commitments.

Responsibilities

Support students in science courses, including biology, chemistry or physics, in 1:1 virtual sessions

Support students in preparing for tests and exams by improving weak areas and reviewing study materials

Teach concepts clearly and patiently, adapting to each student’s learning style

Help students strengthen problem-solving, critical thinking, and academic writing skills

Track progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents

Maintain a positive, motivating, and professional learning environment

Follow AdmissionPrep’s tutoring methodology and training standards

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Math, Science or Education

Current Master's or PhD students are encouraged to apply

Teaching or tutoring experience with Grades 8–12 students (online or in-person)

Strong understanding of the Canadian high school curriculum

Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal

Reliable, professional, and passionate about student success

Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
