McLean, VA. Salary in the 80-90K range

Addison Group's client is searching for a Property Accountant based in McLean, VA. This role is primarily on-site and direct-hire with a starting salary in the 80-90K range. Previous experience in Commercial Real Estate Accounting is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records for multiple properties.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Work with property managers and other departments on financial matters.
• Support audits and tax reporting processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, QuickBooks, or MRI).
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
