Adamson Systems Engineering is seeking an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to support, direct and optimize manufacturing processes. This role focuses on process flow, QA/QC, automation, robotics, mechatronics integration, and electronics final product assembly, ensuring efficient, repeatable, and scalable product manufacturing.
The Manufacturing Engineer will work cross-functionally with Production, Product Development and Financial to improve throughput, reduce defects, and implement solutions that support high-performance manufacturing. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives on solving complex production challenges and building robust processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Development & Optimization
- Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes
- Develop standardized work instructions and process documentation
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Improve fixture design, PCB handling, and assembly tooling
2. Automation, Robotics & Mechatronics
- Design and implement automation solutions to improve production such as cartesian robotics, sensors, vision systems, and PLC-controlled equipment
- Support programming, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated systems
- Collaborate with maintenance and external vendors on equipment upgrades
- Evaluate and deploy new technologies to modernize manufacturing
3. Production Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide daily engineering support to production teams
- Resolve technical issues affecting output or quality
- Develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling to improve repeatability
- Reduce downtime through process improvements
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
4. Quality & Compliance
- Identify potential quality issues and implement documented checks for each potential failure mode.
- Support electronics testing and validation processes
- Support validation protocols and process audits
- Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
- Experience working in automation, robotics, or mechatronics environments is a must
- Strong exposure to electronics manufacturing processes (SMT / through-hole)
- Experience supporting production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proven track record of process improvement and problem solving

- PLC programming and automation controls
- Knowledge of SMT and electronics assembly processes
- CAD for fixture/tooling design
- Lean manufacturing and process optimization
- Root cause analysis methodologies
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems
