Assistant Service Manager (Automotive) – Growth to Partner Opportunity

Pay: $55,000 – $70,000 base + performance bonus ($70,000 – $95,000+)
Why This Role Is Different
We operate 5 high-volume automotive repair shops in the GTA and are actively expanding. This role is designed for someone who wants to move beyond being “just a service advisor” and grow into a Service Manager → Partner within our operation.
You will be trained and evaluated based on real business metrics, not just attendance.
Responsibilities
- Automotive service advising, estimating, and repair sales
- Manage repair orders, workflow, and technician productivity
- Improve ARO (Average Repair Order), Car Count, and Gross Profit
- Deliver strong customer service and retention
- Handle escalations and build long-term client relationships
- Support shop operations, scheduling, and team coordination
- Work closely with management on performance tracking and reporting
Compensation Structure
Base Salary:
- $55,000 – $70,000 (based on experience)
Monthly Bonus Structure:
- ARO Bonus: Tiered increases when shop ARO exceeds target
- Car Count Bonus: Based on maintaining/growing monthly volume
- Gross Profit Bonus: % of GP above baseline targets
- Store Performance Bonus: Additional team-based incentives
Growth Path
We don’t hire for positions — we build operators. Our current partners started working as Technician/ Assistant Managers at some point in the past.
Step 1: Assistant Service Manager
Step 2: Service Manager (run a location independently)
Step 3: Internal Partner Opportunity (profit-sharing / leadership role)
We have already grown through internal promotions and technician-to-partner pathways. This is a real track, not a promise.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Service Advisor or Service Manager in an automotive repair shop
- Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair services
- Proven ability to sell and explain repairs confidently
- Experience with shop software (Protractor, AutoLeap, or similar)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

- Must understand or be willing to learn shop performance metrics (ARO, GP, car count)
