Job Overview:

We’re helping our client find an Accounting Manager / Accounting Consultant to support and stabilize core accounting operations during a period of operational transition.

In this role, you will lead month-end close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting while helping improve accounting processes, documentation, and operational efficiency across the finance function.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Ensure financial records are accurate, organized, and completed on time
• Review accounting workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Document and standardize accounting procedures and operational processes
• Partner closely with AP, AR, payroll, and finance stakeholders
• Assist with audit preparation and reporting requests
• Support ongoing finance infrastructure and operational improvements
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or Accounting Consultant
• Strong hands-on experience with month-end close processes
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules
• Solid understanding of AP, AR, payroll, and general accounting operations
• Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Strong process-oriented mindset with high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and adapt within changing environments
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in eCommerce or high-growth environments
• Prior consulting, transition, or stabilization experience
• Experience improving or standardizing accounting processes
• Audit support or financial reporting exposure
• Familiarity with tools like Slack, Asana, ClickUp, Jira, Notion, or Confluence
