Position: Assistant Manager, Legal & Compliance, ACG Group
Department: Legal & Compliance
Location: Jogeshwari, Mumbai
Reporting to: Senior Manager, Legal & Compliance, ACG Group
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Level of Education - LLB
- Experience: 7-12 years
- Relevant Experience of 6+ years in handling real estate matters related to land acquisition and other property matters
Job Objective
To proactively handle the legal matters for the ACG Group
Primary responsibilities
- Provide legal support on contractual matters, particularly relating to property
- mattes,
- Proactively identify and manage areas of legal risk, particularly relating to
- property;
- Conduct property due diligence;
- Draft and issue legal notices & communication to defaulting companies from
- time to time.
- Briefing the solicitors/ senior counsels on various legal litigation matters
- Initiate, manage and defend civil& criminal litigation at all levels viz:
- Trial/District courts to High Court/Supreme Court both original and appellate
- side and provide updates on a regular basis;
- Represent the company before various civil & criminal courts/judicial forums;
- Prepare court papers viz petitions, applications, affidavits, written statements,
- submissions, replies, consent terms etc in a timely manner;
- Liasoning with govt. bodies, statutory authorities, Litigation Magt;
- Scrutinizing the documents and evaluate the strength and weaknesses of any
- prospective litigation and advise;
- Keeping track of the latest changes in laws having direct bearing on day to day
- functioning of the company ;
- Devise and lead the implementation of legal policies and processes which align
- to both Group and country specific regulations so that both trade legally and are
- compliant with Group policies and processes.
