Job Title: AWS Infrastructure Engineer (CDK & TypeScript)

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Job Type: 6-12 Months Contract [Possible Extension]

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in AWS CDK and TypeScript to design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud automation, and implementing secure and highly available AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) with TypeScript.
• Build reusable infrastructure components and automation frameworks.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to support cloud deployments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure provisioning and application deployments.
• Configure and manage AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, VPC, RDS, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to optimize cloud architecture and performance.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for AWS environments.
• Follow best practices for security, compliance, and cost optimization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS CDK using TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services, networking, and security best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch and Prometheus.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and version control systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation in addition to CDK.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
